The Akai MPC4000 Plus is a highly anticipated all-in-one production center that took the musical world by storm. Building on the highly acclaimed and revered MPC series of sampling drum machines, the Akai MPC4000 combines sampler, drum machine and first rate MIDI sequencer at an outstanding price.
The Akai MPC4000 Plus boasts a new Z-96 sampling engine, which in combination with the Intel® CPU results in staggeringly quick processing. The internal IDE hard drive and an external SCSI connection further enhance the machine’s power. A USB slave port provides support for ak.Sys Networking and Control systems software.
There are no longer limits to your creative potential with a mass of resources at the Akai MPC4000’s command including access to Z-series and S-series files. A built in CD recorder is beneficial for archiving and sample loading. Visual editing of sequence events and waveforms places you in supreme control of your productivity.
Say goodbye to laborious saving, downloading and transferring of samples thanks to the new hard disc features available on this dream machine. The Akai MPC4000 Plus uses WAV files as its primary format making it easier than ever before to obtain and share samples. Additionally, all work can be saved in a single file greatly easing file management.
There is now no need to rely heavily on memory as the Akai MPC4000 Plus gives you the option of virtual sampling streams, meaning that you can sample playback direct from the hard disc. However, with 16MB onboard RAM as standard, upgradeable to a mind-blowing 512MB, there is now no possibility of being limited by memory.
The Akai MPC4000 Plus pumps out 24 bit audio resolution at an impressive 96 kHz sample rate. Offering up to an amazing 64 voices and a 4 channel, 56-bit effects processor, the MPC 4000 provides the opportunity to produce unique, high quality music. An even higher level of quality can be achieved with 192 filters and 26 filter types with 3 filters per voice at your command.
In addition to the highly acclaimed capabilities of its predecessors, hot new features of the Akai MPC4000 include Q-Link knobs for real-time parameter control and an excellent IntelliSample system, which automates sampling, naming, program creation and sample assignment. Dual independent LFOs allow for internal / external modulation control, and balanced stereo XLR-1/4” TRS combo inputs plus reference-grade pre-amps with switchable phono inputs enable direct connection of turntables.
The Akai MPC4000 Plusis well designed and compact with an industrial, professional appearance. The pads are pressure sensitive and excellent for loose programming, and six individual pad banks provide ease of navigation through 96 samples. A large, 320 x 240 multi-angle graphic LCD promises to improve ease of use in live performances.
The immense technological power and limitless possibilities showcased by the Akai MPC4000 make it not only one of the most advanced production centers on the market but an essential creative tool for any musician. The extended sound quality and amazing processing capacity will take you beyond your current musical capabilities and into a new arena of sound production.
